Imperial Echos Volume #11 - The Army Of Frederick The Great #2 - The series of cigarette cards in this book were produced between 1933 and 1935 by Sturm-Zigaretten, the tobacco and publishing arm of Hitler’s para-military organization, the SA (Sturm Abteilung). The cards were painted by Herbert Knötel and the text by Dr. Martin Lezius. Each card is approximately 1 ½ x 2 ¼ inches. This makes reproduction difficult as all the original plates were destroyed in the war.
